FBI

The FBI was in need of VFX and design work for their short film, The Nevernight Connection. My contributions encompassed designing and animating user interface graphics, creating the film's title design, and crafting key art.

The FBI produced this 30-minute short film as a cautionary narrative for American citizens. It delves into the true story of a former government employee who became entangled with Chinese intelligence, sharing sensitive material with the Chinese government. Upon returning to the US from a business trip to China, the man was apprehended and subsequently incarcerated.

The opening scene played a pivotal role in the first act. I designed screen animations that were later integrated into the footage. These animations lay the groundwork for the story by introducing the audience to some of the tactics employed by Chinese intelligence. The director aimed to commence the film solely with user interface graphics, footage, and sound design, entirely foregoing the use of dialogue.
