Kodak was looking for a re-design of their digital printing product, Prinergy, the foremost end-to-end software platform for printing professionals. The platform is segmented into five primary pillars with each pillar showcasing a crucial key function of the platform.

5 icons for 5 different pillars

I designed five distinct icons, with each one representing one of the five features that constitute the Prinergy On Demand platform:

Automation

Integration

Production Efficiency

Security

Analytics

The production was looking to adhere to the existing Kodak brand guidelines while creating a design that would enhance the brand identity. To achieve this, I introduced a visual concept that combines the five pillars into a cohesive appearance. The design is inspired by the overarching concept of data streams, where lines converge to form distinct shapes and patterns, illustrating the five different product features.

AUTOMATION

The concept for automation revolves around a cogwheel, symbolizing numerous individual processes working in parallel and harmony. The icon is striving to convey the potent blend of productivity and reduced risk achieved through intelligent automation.

INTEGRATION

This icon embodies an intertwined sphere with streams reaching into each other, symbolizing integration. Throughout Kodak's presence in the print industry, the company has consistently maintained the highest standards of quality and reliability. Through the use of numerous dynamic waves of interlocking semi-circles, the integration pillar expresses optimization and balance.

PRODUCTION EFFICIENCY

To symbolize the idea of efficiency in print, Kodak sought an icon depicting an elegant ink drop. The icon needed to visualize their effective production performance, which optimizes client workflows, thereby reducing costs—essentially transitioning from abundance to minimalism.

SECURITY

I presented Kodak with the concept of an impenetrable fortress to symbolize security. To solidify the idea of a strong and secure structure, I designed an impenetrable cube with streams extending in all directions.

ANALYTICS

The icon representing analytics is derived from the concept of graphs and charts. I created a shape that visualizes the upward and downward movements of lines seen in data analytics.
