DISCOVERY CHANNEL
Expedition X features a scientist and a paranormal researcher investigating reports of supernatural encounters, mysterious creatures, and extraterrestrial phenomena. The goal of the titles is to introduce the viewers to a journey to the stranger side of the unknown.
Encouraged by the production company, I developed a mysterious world waiting to be explored. The concept involved having the hosts walk through a misty forest at night in search of the hidden. To bring this idea to life, the production company filmed green screen footage of the two hosts in LA.
Back in New York, we combined the footage with a CGI forest that I created in Photoshop and After Effects, as well as a 3D logo that I designed in Cinema 4D. For the animation of the flashlights, the light rays of the logo, and the final compositing, I chose After Effects.

STyle Frames
After establishing the design of the logo, I proceeded to create the show open, designing additional style frames to define the action moment-by-moment. These frames were then used as a visual reference for the green screen shoot.
