Ehren Kruger's tv pilot Tin Man was asking for a whole set of computer screens. Set in the near future, the sci-fi film follows a state-of-the-art robot accused of murder and a young woman who comes to his defense in the courtroom.
The project was divided into several different set ups: a robotics lab, dashboard screen consoles for cars, door key locks, a robot screen design and user interfaces for the public defender department.

uI design for robotics lab
The robotics lab is essentially a repair shop for robots. The director was looking for screens for technicians that would show robots being checked and maintained.

One of the robots was an older model that served as a translator and assistant at court. We designed an interface that would show transcripts and also serve as the robots face. I also designed a robotic eye that was able to look around the room and stare at the defendants.
